Our history as Haworth Lifestyle begins in 2014, when Haworth acquired Poltrona Frau, Cassina and Cappellini. Since then, our Group has grown, enriching its profile with different yet complementary design philosophies brought by JANUS et Cie, Luminaire, Ceccotti, Karakter, Luxury Living Group, Interni and Zanotta.
The origins of Haworth Lifestyle trace back to 2014, when Haworth acquired the Poltrona Frau Group, including three iconic Italian brands – Poltrona Frau, Cassina, and Cappellini – marking the beginning of a journey focused on design excellence.
Through the acquisition of Poltrona Frau Group and the transition to a unified global strategy, Haworth Inc. laid the foundation for Haworth Lifestyle, expanding its reach and redefining the luxury design landscape.
Since then, the Group has continued to grow through strategic acquisitions, bringing together complementary design philosophies that contribute to a unified vision of creating inspiring spaces, to include renowned brands such as JANUS et Cie, Luminaire, Ceccotti Collezioni, Karakter, Luxury Living Group, Interni, and Zanotta.
While our roots are firmly planted in Italian craftsmanship, we embrace a global perspective that resonates with clients worldwide.

Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Holland, Michigan (USA), Haworth is a privately held, family-owned company with a strong legacy in the office furniture sector. What began as G.W. Haworth’s garage workshop grew into a global enterprise under three generations of leadership. Dick Haworth drove innovation and international expansion, and in 2009 passed the torch to his son Matthew, who continues to lead with a focus on design, sustainability, and entrepreneurial spirit. Today, Haworth employs over 8,000 people and operates in more than 150 countries.
